Education
Hans graduated in Dutch tax law, specialization international tax law and Dutch law, specialization corporate law from the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1997.
Work Experience
Hans was admitted to the Rotterdam Bar in 1997 and worked for Loeff Claeys Verbeke/Allen & Overy in Rotterdam and Amsterdam (Jakarta July-October 1999). He worked for NautaDutilh from 1 February 2000 until March 2006. Hans joined Otterspeer, Haasnoot & Partners as a partner in April 2006.
Hans specialises in the taxation aspects of cross-border corporate, M&A, private equity and venture capital, finance transactions, securitizations, transfer pricing and international tax planning as well as corporate debt restructurings and insolvency.
He is a member of the Kazakhstan and Indonesia Desk within Otterspeer, Haasnoot & Partners.
Affiliations
Hans is a member of the Dutch Organisation of Tax Lawyers (NOB), The International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the Dutch Association for Attorneys (NOVA).
He acted on a regular basis as visiting lecturer at the University of Nijenrode Breukelen, MBA International Tax Law from 2000 up to and including 2005. He also acted as visiting lecturer at the University of Indonesia, International Tax Law in 2005.
