Education:
Theo holds a law degree from the Leiden University and specialised in tax law at the same University. Fellow Member of the Dutch Organisation of Tax Lawyers (NOB).

Work experience:
Theo joined Otterspeer, Haasnoot & Partners end of 2009 as a partner. Formerly he was a partner in the tax department of VMW Taxand (Van Mens & Wisselink) since 2001. Before he was with De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek and Houthoff Buruma. He specialises in corporate tax (domestic and international), M&A, reorganisations, joint ventures, transfer pricing, tonnage taxation (ocean shipping), tax audits, secondment of employees and pension law. He is also involved in tax litigation. He advises a wide range of clients, a.o. in the sectors food and feed, construction materials, shipping and transport companies, parking, commodities trading.

Affiliations:
He is a member of the commission Tax Assurance of the NOB, a member of the International Fiscal Association and of the Association for Pension Law in the Netherlands. Furthermore, he is in the board of several not for profit organisations (cultural, development aid).
