Jeroen van der Wal


Jeroen holds a Masters degree in Dutch tax law, specialisation international tax law, from the Erasmus University Rotterdam (2000), as well as an LL.M. degree in US tax law, from New York University (2002).

Work experience

Prior to joining OHP, Jeroen worked as an international tax advisor with Loyens & Loeff (2000-2004), and PricewaterhouseCoopers (2004-2008). Jeroen specialises in WHT reclaims based on EU law and ECJ case law. Over the years he has successfully reclaimed WHT across the EU, for multiple North American and Asian institutional investors (e.g. pension funds).He is also highly experienced and skilled in the Dutch and international tax aspects of cross-border corporate transactions, M&A, private equity and venture capital, finance transactions, transfer pricing, and international tax planning. He is also a part time teacher in international tax law and European tax law, at Erasmus University Rotterdam.Affiliations

Jeroen is a member of the Dutch Order of Tax Advisors (NOB) and a member of the International Fiscal Association (‘IFA’).
