Alessandro advises internationally operating corporate clients on cross-border tax issues with a focus on the EU and Asia-Pacific markets. He specializes in maritime tax matters and international tax topics such as the tonnage regime, tax treaty law, OECD tax measures and EU tax law. Among his clients are multinationals in a variety of sectors such as the shipping industry, heavy industry and trading market.
He has extensive experience with complex cross-border reorganisations, including reorganisations involving Pillar Two. He has also completed several Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAPs) concerning the application and interpretation of tax treaties.
Before joining OHP, Alessandro worked at Loyens & Loeff for almost 9 years and was seconded to Mori Hamada & Matsumoto, a Japanese law firm, in Tokyo. He holds a Master’s degree in International and European Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam (cum laude).
Alessandro is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB) and is member of the Tax Committee of the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners (KVNR)
